The Story Is the Thing

William Morgan never wanted to be perfect, just happy. Here, toward the end  of his life, he reflects  on decades of imperfection, happiness, and truth. Woven into his life's tale are the stories of others. Julia, who is a free spirit, quirky, and fun, but trapped in a marriage with hospital corners and traditional expectations; Charlie, who is trapped as well, but by something more sinister than tradition; and Cody Jack, a man who needs more--more of everything that soothes and comforts and numbs--but stands to lose the only good thing he's ever known and who will hurt anyone to keep it. Knitting them all together is the ranch--the sky and the land--giving generously and taking away impartially.
